With multiple podiums and top ten finishes under their belt the Beyond Racing crew has already made a name for themselves. They won’t stop until they are fighting for podiums week in and week out.
2022 SEASON
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #1: Lourdes, France
What a first race. 17th place for Abby in qualifying, only 1.5sec off of the qualifying time. She had a great run but unfortunately she caught up the the girl in front of her in the final stretch and was unable to pass, causing her to lose too much time. 17th place for Anna in Finals, with a flat 10m out of the gate! Despite the rear flat tire she fought her way down the track and past the finish line! Not an ideal start to the season but they knew the speed was there!
Double Podium
2nd & 3rd at the IXS Dirtmasters Festival in Winterberg, Germany!
The Track was short but sweet. Racing against former World Cup overall Winner, Tracey Hannah, made for a sweet competition! This was the Teams first race on the Brand new BiXS Frame!
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #2 Fort William, Scotland
A very demanding and physical track with race times exceeding 5 minutes!
12th place in finals for Anna! 17th place in qualifying for Abby, just 6 seconds off of qualifying with an injured wrist.
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #3 Leogang, Austria
Abby had to sit this one out and play team-support, as the doctors diagnosed a fracture in the right Radius following an MRI scan. She had been riding on it four 4 weeks following her crash in Maribor. Anna charged full speed into this muddy race but suffered a concussion during timed practice, taking her out of this race as well. The team still had a great weekend and enjoyed supporting our friends and competitors at the races!
Crankworx Innsbruck DH
Anna braved the blazing heat at Crankworx Innsbruck and raced the Dual Slalom & Downhill events. Dual Slalom was a stacked field and Anna ultimately slid out in a heat against Nina Hoffmann. And as for Downhill, she managed to fight her way down the hill into an impressive 3rd place! Only 8 seconds off of reigning World Champion Valentina Höll.
2022 Enduro World Series #3: Val di Fassa, Italy
The obligatory annual EWS Race! They don’t know why, but every year Abby & Anna find it necessary to compete at an EWS. It’s a type 2 pain. Since Abby was still busy recovering, Anna pushed through this one on her own. Abby supported from the sidelines. Anna ended up sliding into 28th out of 49 riders.
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #4 Lenzerheide, Switzerland
The gang was finally back together & racing! Anna finally got her first top ten of the season & Abby felt confident on the bike again after a 6 week break! 10th place in finals for Anna & 19th place for Abby in Qualifying.
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #5: Vallnord, Andorra
Anna represented Beyond Racing in Andorra on the brand new super highspeed track there! She gripped it and ripped it – pulling another top ten and best result to date: 8th place
US National Championship: Colorado, USA
Abby made her way across the pond to compete in her first ever national champs! Being from the USA but growing up and living in Europe makes it difficult to make the long trip over on a regular basis. But, she made it worth the Trip! 2nd place at nationals with only a 0.6 sec gap to 1st place. Vice-National Champ right there.
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #6: Snowshoe, USA This race was muddy, sticky, long and tiresome. The conditions were constantly changing and made for a sketchy race. Nonetheless Abby managed to secure her season best 12th place & Anna rode down into 9th! |
2022 Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup DH #7: Mont-Saint-Anne, Canada
The track was a beast! Big hits, long rock gardens & fast sections characterized the track in MSA. Abby backed up her place in the World Cup circuit with another 12th place. Anna toped up her season best to a 7th place!
UCI DHI World Championships ’22: Les Gets, France
Being on Team USA was once again a great privilege. It’s an honor to represent our country. The fresh cut track was sick! But unfortunately the race didn’t go as planned. Abby crashed off of the notorious roadgap and dislocated her shoulder the day before finals. Team USA Physios taped her up and she rolled down into a disappointing 27th place. Anna wasn’t pleased with her racerun and ended up 14th in the World.
2022 Enduro World Series #7: Crans Montana, Switzerland Anna decided it was a great idea to battle another EWS. The snowy and cold conditions made this one especially fierce. But anna battled her way through and ended up in 17th out of 44 riders!
